Baby Levi

Baby Levi has arrived! Nate and Ashley, it was such a joy to see you both in love and eager to share baby Levi with us. Watching you care for his needs and for each other despite being sleep deprived is typical of your love for each other. I must say my eyes brimmed with tears as I watched you both gently caress and tenderly gaze at your newest love. Here are a few of our favorite pictures. Levi is precious and beautiful; a true gift. With Nate being a police officer, we had some fun incorporating some aspect of his mandate "to protect and serve".

Nate and Ashley, we love you very much. Thank you for entrusting us with the job of capturing your family during the early weeks of life together. I know the days seem long right now but trust me, the years are short! We look forward to watching you learn and grow in love as you shepherd Levi's heart toward Jesus.

Downs Family

Nate and Ashley have been dear friends of ours for . . . a long time. We have walked beside them through many sweet life changing milestones. We have watched them live out the joys of dating to the excitement of engagement, to standing beside them as they made vows to each other. We were honored when they asked us to take pictures of this season as they wait to meet their first child. We dusted off our camera equipment and gladly spent a fun evening together capturing the excitement they share in becoming new parents.

Mason Family

My friend, Jake Mason, has served me in many ways. So, when he asked for some family photos with his wife Chelle, daughter Brooklyn and his son Hunter, we were happy to oblige. They hadn't had a family photo taken in quite a while, so that was important to him. Hunter is starting his senior year and Jake had asked for a few photos of him as well. We loved hanging out with the whole family and we hope you like a few of our favorites. Enjoy!

There's a story behind this photo. Chelle saw a similar image from a session with a different client. She wanted something like it for herself. To be fair to Hunter and Brooklyn, this is obviously posed. However, if we are all honest here . . . it just as easily could not have been. Anyone with kids, old enough for a phone, knows this is exactly what they see their children doing . . . a lot. Even their dog, Tank, is uninterested.

One of Chelle's special sayings with Hunter is "You are my sunshine" . . . whenever she talks about him graduating she gets emotional. This was a special shot for mom. Brooklyn is a natural in front of the camera. She makes it look so easy.

Hunter was 'free-stylin' on these shots. I had at least three or four I really loved and narrowed it to two.

Harrelson Family

Meet the Harrelson family. Last Christmas, a family member of theirs purchased a session for them as a gift. We met them on their gorgeous property near Ayden. It's true, some people get to live in paradise every day. There were so many options for images that we really needed a day to scout the property and plan the session. It was difficult to narrow these images down to just a few. However, they had waited long enough. So, here are a few of our favorites! It was so much fun! We hope they love these images as much as we do. Enjoy!

Baby Cooper

Grady and Tiffany are sweet friends of ours. They allowed us to take their engagement pictures back in April of 2011. This is one fun couple and taking their pictures is hardly work. We have loved watching them grow through courtship and engagement. It was a joy to witness their marriage and now to see them embark on parenthood. It's amazing how fast time flies! Meet Baby Cooper. He's one of the most laid back babies we've ever met . . . and easy to photograph. Tiffany and Grady took nursery design to a whole new level. Check out this wall! We had to incorporate this wall into some photos with Cooper. Enjoy!

Nate + Ashley

Nate and Ashley are recent graduates from ECU and we have had the privilege of knowing them for the last four years. We have been encouraged greatly by their love for Christ and for each other. Nate and Ashley are one of those couples that we can't wait to see get married. We have watched their relationship develop over these many years and it will be a blast to be part of their big day. Occasionally there are people you meet where you might say to yourself, "I hope my kids will be like that person." Nate and Ash are "those people". They gave their engagement session a lot of thought. I think their attention to detail (in props and outfit choice) made these images ROCK. These are our favorites. Enjoy!
